Company Founder Ralf Huebner

After studies of East Asian Science at Berlin Humboldt University and Peking University in 1984/85 and graduation, his first China assignment took Ralf Huebner 1988 to Shanghai. Since then – except for a short interruption between 1991 and 1993 in Germany – he has been living and working in China.

In management positions in different joint ventures and wholly foreign owned enterprises in the manufacturing industry in China he collected valuable management and market experiences. Ralf Huebner became acquainted with China not only with the highly developed coastal regions at locations like Shanghai and East China, the South Chinese Pearl River delta and Tianjin but also with the south western hinterland in Sichuan and Chongqing and the northern parts of China.

Working for the German executive search firm Dr. Berndt & Partner GmbH since 1998, Ralf Huebner set up an office in Shanghai and developed the China business. For German clients he successfully placed local and expatriate candidates in positions on the first and second management level in China.

In autumn 2000 Ralf Huebner founded Hübner Consulting – Executive Search in China in Shanghai specialized on executive search in the Chinese market. In implementation of search assignments for executive positions in various industries he makes full use of his long term placement practice as well as of his two decades of China experience on the market, on the country and the mentalities. Certainly, he interviews Chinese candidates in their Chinese mother tongue. Besides Chinese spoken and written business fluent his further foreign languages are English and Russian. His native language is German.

Ralf Huebner coaches consultants on the executive search process flow and quality standards and trains researchers in their career development from research into a consultant role.
